  Imagining the garden
Andrew Church, Amanda Claremont, Mark Bhatti & Paul Stenner (University of Brighton)
These photos and text from the Mass Observation Archive which consider, document and make suggestions about the meanings of domestic gardens.  How people write about and picture their own gardens gives insights into the relationships people have with one of their closest and most intimate environments.  The snapshots of domestic gardens help make sense of why gardens are such beloved spots in both the imagination and at home in our everyday lives.
