Google Earth training for teachers and educators

These practical workshops show teachers and expedition organisations how to create virtual fieldwork using Google Earth. Participants get hands-on experience with digital cameras and GPS units, creating mini-fieldwork projects, and transformed data into a Google Earth virtual journey.

This course is designed for people who have already attended the introduction course or are regular advanced users of Google Earth. It will cover how to integrate field data into Google Earth, creating geo-referenced graphs as well as choropleth maps that can be used in the classroom.
Cost: £141(£120+ VAT). Free for those with Chartered Geographer (Teacher) status.

Google™ have recently agreed to sponsor 10 further Google Earth training courses for LEA maintained Geography teachers across the UK. These courses will take place in November 2008 and early 2009.
